Information Security Manager

Overview:
Information Security Manager United Bankers’ Bank has an exciting opportunity for an Information Security Manager. This individual manages the organization’s Information Security Program including cybersecurity oversight, reporting and maintenance activities. The scope of this role includes IT governance, risk and compliance reporting; business continuity maintenance and testing; vendor management program maintenance; security administration including identity and access management; and overall information security program activities and updates. May also serve as a subject matter expert and a resource to UBB’s customer banks in this area. Position is on-site at our Bloomington office. Work from home opportunities may be available after initial training period.

Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities • Formalizes the bank’s internal IT risk monitoring, oversight and reporting functions (including formatted risk assessments like the FFIEC Cybersecurity Assessment Tool). • Manages a small team of information security professionals. • Provides cybersecurity oversight, monitoring and reporting of UBB’s internal user system security administration. • Works closely with IT Infrastructure to understand and assimilate data provided from technical cybersecurity monitoring and logging systems. • Organizes and leads Business Continuity Plan activities. • Manages and maintains the organization’s Vendor Management program. • Provides our vendor due diligence as our customer’s third party technical provider, including UBB cybersecurity attestations, BCP and vendor management program summaries. • Develops IT Governance, Risk and Compliance reporting. • Provides support to the ISO and CIO to organize and schedule audit and testing cycles with third party vendors. • Works with the ISO and CIO to prepare for audits and regulatory examinations and helps respond to audit and regulatory examination findings. • Participates in industry training to remain current in any information security-related expertise, including cybersecurity, business continuity and risk management.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business or related field preferred • CISSP Certification preferred • Proven ability to lead a team • Excellent professional communication skills, including meeting facilitation skills, interpersonal communication skills and written communications • Broad working knowledge of the banking industry, ideally within community banking; 5 years of bank operations or other banking-related experience preferred • Proven ability to work independently and exercise initiative and independent judgment • Highly developed time management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines • Ability to manage multiple steps and phases of a project, from initiation to completion, with minimal direct supervision • Ability to create and present formal presentations and internal training classes • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technical tools • Strong working knowledge of standard technical office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
