Our members expressed a desire to learn more about community bank-fintech partnerships, and we deliver in the autumn edition of IMPACT magazine with a look at three Minnesota banks that have forged successful partnerships with companies that deliver needed digital tools. Read their stories and learn more about the varying types of fintech companies you may encounter as you seek to increase your digital offerings.

The autumn IMPACT also provides an important alert about a budget proposal the Administration has put forward that includes a comprehensive financial account requirement that will lay a heavy burden on banks — a proposal that is a gross overreach by the government into the private finances of its citizens.

Has your bank experienced debit card fraud? Have you sold mortgage loans to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac? Have you ever entered an agreement with another bank to prepare loan documents? Has your bank increased the starting salary for entry level staffers? (If so, have you bumped the pay for current staff members to keep them from leaving?) Is your bank requiring the Covid-19 vaccine, requiring employees to wear masks, or are you getting pushback on requiring proof of vaccination? Good questions!
