The State Bank of Faribault Location: Faribault, Minnesota Job Title: Credit Analyst Overview: The State Bank of Faribault is seeking a Credit Analyst to work in its Faribault, Minnesota office. The position’s primary focus is underwriting current and prospective commercial borrowers to determine credit worthiness among other regular and ad-hoc assignments. Responsibilities: • Credit Underwriting o Analyze balance sheets, income statements, tax returns and other financial documents to assess borrowers’ credit quality and ability to repay debt using financial ratios and cash flow modeling o Develop and communicate credit presentations to SBF’s Loan Committee on strengths and weaknesses of borrowing relationships o Evaluate commercial real estate appraisals for accuracy, detail and clarity o Assist loan officers with due diligence and fostering client relationships by understanding business models, financing requirements and treasury management needs of commercial borrowers o Complete ad-hoc assignments across the commercial department as well as miscellaneous opportunities throughout the bank o Monitor financial and industry reports to stay current on economic trends and activity • Skills o Understanding of accounting and financial ratios used in the credit process o Ability to communicate findings that arise from underwriting commercial loans both orally and in writing o Analytical and quantitative decision-making skills o Self-starter that takes initiative with little oversight o Capable of working independently or in a team-setting Requirements: • Education & Experience o Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or business management o Prior professional experience in finance or accounting o Experience in banking preferred but not required Deadline: 09/30/2021 How to Apply: Send resume to: State Bank of Faribault Attn: Human Resources 428 Central Ave. Faribault MN 55021 Phone: 507-332-7401 [email protected] Equal Opportunity Employer
