Community Rules for Associate Members

To ensure a quality experience for members participating in the BankIn Minnesota member community, BankIn Minnesota reminds our associate members (individuals and company representatives who sell products and services to BankIn Minnesota members and their practices) that BankIn Minnesota's member community is a commercial-free environment for peer-to-peer networking and sharing. We recognize the expertise and value our associate members provide. We ask that you be vigilant about ensuring the content you share is noncommercial in nature. Below are required guidelines for associate members when posting to BankIn Minnesota's member community:

  1. BankIn Minnesota is aware of the depth and breadth of the information and expertise you have to share. When posting advice, intentionally compose the message so that it cannot be construed as having a commercial intent.
  2. Linking resources or tools to your company’s website or sharing expertise in a way that underscores your services (i.e. “I consult with many practices,” or, “For my clients we…”) is considered advertising and is not permitted.
  3. Refrain from referencing your company’s services or branded content that can be construed as an advertisement for the company, its products, or its services.
  4. Refrain from using the community to conduct product and service research (i.e., do not solicit feedback on your products and services or your competitor's products and services or request members participate in research surveys).
  5. All posts should contain your name, company name, and location in the signature. This helps to provide transparency. Members can choose to contact you directly should they desire. There is no need to include company references in the body of your message.
  6. Should you wish to advertise your company, products, or services, please do so in the proper forum. BankIn Minnesota has established channels that allow companies to increase their visibility with members. These channels clearly distinguish commercial content from non-commercial content/advice. Each distinct channel improves the value of resources we offer members and builds trust with the membership. Visit the BankIn Minnesota website for more information.

BankIn Minnesota monitors community activities and may remove content that does not conform to the community’s rules or guidelines. Individuals who repeatedly fail to follow the guidelines will be subject to moderation.

BankIn Minnesota is very fortunate in that we have many generous members who want to share their knowledge and expertise with their colleagues. Thank you for helping us protect the integrity of our community by respecting these guidelines.
