Loan Processor

Overview:
Responsible for preparing, processing, and maintaining loan documentation while adhering to bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Create loan closing documentation for all types of consumer, HELOC, mortgage/secondary market and commercial loans ensuring file is accurate, complete, and compliant prior to close • Prepare loan modification and renewal closing documentation for all types of loans • Order services including flood certification, appraisals, title work, and UCC lien searches • Load and service participation loans that are purchased/sold by processing advance requests, applying payments, wiring funds to participants, and submitting/requesting documentation to/from participant banks • Input loans into core system • Disburse loan proceeds as requested • Assemble, prepare, and maintain loan files • Responsible for submitting and tracking all documentation necessary for lien perfection on titled collateral, UCC collateral, and real estate loans • Review loan data entry/maintenance as new loans and renewals are input into the core system • Process daily loan payments and incoming payoffs. Review the Daily Transaction Journal the following day and correct loan rejects and payment posting errors • Process paid loans by preparing file for retention, preparing lien releases and satisfactions, and sending correspondence to customer • Process escrow disbursements, perform escrow maintenance, and prepare annual analysis statements • Answer incoming calls regarding loan inquiries on existing or past loans and handle internal and external research requests • Process and track disputes from credit reporting agencies • Monitor collateral insurance and initiate force-placed insurance if necessary • Balance general ledger accounts daily • Balance loan department checking accounts on a monthly basis • Calculate rates and prepare rate schedule for in-house real estate loans on a weekly basis • Prepare appraisals for committee review • Prepare Adverse Action Notices as needed • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and bank policies and procedures • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:
High school diploma • Minimum of 2 years banking experience preferred • Detail-oriented, self-starter who is able to work independently with the ability to prioritize complex activities, demands, and deadlines • Strong analytical and effective problem-solving skills • High level of accuracy and timeliness • Regular and reliable attendance required • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
