Job Title:
Loan Accounting Administrator

Overview:
The Loan Accounting Administrator will report directly to the Chief Credit Officer and will be responsible for the accurate booking of loans and the correct application of payments. The incumbent will develop and maintain training, written procedures and audit testing to improve the operational aspects of these critical functions. Their foremost priority will be to ensure our customer transactions accurately reflect the intended actions being sought, and proceed without error or incident.

Responsibilities:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for boarding, verifying and ensuring that all loans are properly booked, maintained and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Bank Policy. • Process payments with complete accuracy. • Coordinate loan closings with the Service Officer. • Review and assist all pre- and post-closing audits. • In conjunction with other Loan Administration personnel, meet regularly to address issues and problems that might arise. • Cross train with other Loan Administration personnel, to expand knowledge in underwriting, and loan documentation preparation. • Configure and maintain loan system parameters on the core banking system (JHA 20/20) o Loan Type Parameters o Investor Servicing Parameters (Freddie Mac/SBA) o Late Charge/Prepayment Penalty Parameters o Credit Bureau Parameters o Loan Notice/Statement Parameters o Any other loan system parameter as needed • Report to Colson (SBA 1502) and Freddie Mac • Credit Bureau Reporting • Prepare and respond to audit confirmations for loans • Work with Loan Documentation SME to ensure interfaces between the documentation and core system are kept up-to-date and work at optimal levels

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES: • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience is considered to be three years of commercial lending or loan operations experience. • PC literacy with the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Jack Henry 2020, Laser Pro and Moody’s • Unwavering commitment to teamwork. • Able to deliver a high level of responsiveness to external and internal customers. • Ability to work independently and establish priorities. • Strong attention to details. • Aptitude for creative problem solving. • Commitment to enhancing the profitability of the Bank.
